Walt Disney Tall Tale: The Unbelievable Adventure

Walt Disney Tall Tale: The Unbelievable Adventure
Superstar Patrick Swayze (GHOST) stars as gun-slinging, tornado-riding cowboy legend Pecos Bill in Disney's most rousing Western adventure yet! Summoned by the imagination of a young boy, Pecos sets out to help the lad save the family farm from a greedy land-grabber. Teaming with two other larger-than-life heroes -- a mighty lumberjack and a hulking railroad worker -- they embark on an incredible journey where danger and surprises await at every turn. Packed with plenty of rollicking action and visual effects, untamed adventure doesn't ride any faster or shoot any straighter than TALL TALE: THE UNBELIEVABLE ADVENTURE.
Customer Review: Tall Tale DVD
This is a wonderful feel good movie. I reviewed the soundtrack which rocks our home when we play it. The movie just adds a full dimension to the music. When young Daniel rides Widowmaker at the end of the movie his smile is just too wonderful. This movie is a great kids' movie and teaches great lessons.
Customer Review: True Story Or Fantasy Western Come to Life? Answer: Neither. It Is a Tall Tale
In "Tall Tale" you have all the makings of a classic story. There is a very appealing, naïve young hero, who overcomes huge obstacles to right a terrible wrong, at great personal risk and potential loss. You have a greasy, sharp tongued villain and a herd of similar henchmen. You have an evil machine that seems to have a life of its own. You have the classic motive for action both good and ambiguous--money-and you have three--not one, but three--larger than life legendary heroes, who mentor and protect the naive, young hero, but do not diminish him by solving his problem for him. Could there be a more classic script? Probably not. It's a western, America's favorite genre, wonderfully cast, beautifully staged, and lovingly filmed. The wide open West, the mountains, the desert appear as if they were just made for the locale of the story. For the first 10 or 20 minutes, you won't even be fully convinced that it is a fantasy. It looks just like another Western, but as it takes off and the story develops, it becomes more and more improbably and more and more engaging. The legendary heroes begin to grow larger than life; the villains get slimier and slimier. I'm giving nothing away by telling you that it all comes out well in the end (all tall tales do), but not without some last minute heroics by the protagonists. Best of all this is a movie kids can watch and enjoy as much as the adults. The modest violence is child's play compared to more modern films, and the villains manage to exude evil without using a single four letter word. No one takes off all their clothes. If you are feeling beat up after a long week of work and want to see an uplifting, you-can-do-it-if-you-try movie, get "Tall Tale" while copies are still available. This is a true classic.

The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2005
In their "Declaration of Independence," the authors and researchers of this guide swear their allegiance to you, the consumer. "If a restaurant serves bad food, or a gift item is overpriced, or a certain ride isn't worth the wait, we can say so, and in the process we hope to make your visit more fun, efficient, and economical." And because they've found that "spontaneity and self-discovery work about as well at Walt Disney World as they do on your tax return," The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World is packed full of essential advice for anyone braving the frontiers of the mother of all theme parks.

To help you decide what's most important for you and your family to see, this newly updated 1999 edition describes each attraction in detail and ranks them for different age groups based on interviews with more than 9,000 families. The book also covers when to go, the pros and cons of lodging outside "the World," hotel and restaurant ratings, field-tested itineraries, tips and warnings, planning strategies, and how to meet Disney characters. Humorous writing accompanied by cartoonist Tami Knight's satiric insights make this guide fun to read. Parks covered include the Magic Kingdom; Epcot; Disney's Animal Kingdom; The Disney-MGM Studios; Universal Studios Florida; Sea World; area water-theme parks; and a section called "Beyond the Parks," which delves into other various Disney offerings like golf (mini and maxi), a speedway, and Discovery Island. --Kathryn True
Customer Review: Must have
This book was VERY useful. All categories were very detailed. The reviews of the how different age groups liked the attractions was very helpful. I would definitely buy this book again.
Customer Review: useful book but too thick
This is a really useful book, tons of tips, saved me a lot $$ and time. The downside is too heavy to carry in the parks. The most valuable thing I learn is to rent a multi-family vacation house with my friends, 16 people for only $199 a day. We all enjoy the stay at a spacious luxury resort. check this out: http://www.cyberrentals.com/index.cfm/property/126687
