Walt Disney World Millennium Celebration
If anyone could corner the millennium, Disney could. In presenting the theme music to its millennium celebration at Epcot Center in Florida, the megacorporation attempts a grand, musical year-2000 salute. Naturally, World Millennium Celebration weaves plenty of fiery brass, warm sting passages, stirring voices, and a mix of space romance and Earth adventure into the fabric of this fantasy work. Executive Music Producer Steve Skorija's task seems to be providing a backdrop for live performance, a scrim to unfurl behind the spectacle. And in doing so, the themes "Reflections of Earth," "We Go On," "Tapestry of Nations," "Promise," and "Celebrate the Future Hand in Hand" (complete as a gospel version as well) have an "Up with People" undercurrent that is ambiguous even as it is mildly diverting. On those merits, Millennium Celebration succeeds as a score. But for sheer entertainment value, the CD needs to give us more of the legendary mouse's magic and less of its roar. --Martin Keller
Customer Review: Complete track listing showing the differences between the 2 CDs
After much research I have found the complete track listings of both Illuminations CDs, and after comparing them by looking at the tracks visually on Sound Studio, I can tell you for certain that the Fireworks Spectacular, and the songs, "We Go On" and "Promise" are identical on the two CDs. Only the Parades are different. I like the Tapestry of Dreams Parade better. And the Gospel song (which is nice) is not on the Tapestry of Dreams CD. Customer Review: PHENOMENAL
A 5-star rating doesn't do this CD justice - I would rate it 10 stars if I could. The music on this CD is beyond description - it's unbelievably powerful, poignant, emotional, sentimental, uplifting, and inspirational. My favorite songs are the "Reflections of Earth" and "Promise." I listen to this CD every day because it is so beautiful and so empowering... Only Disney could come up with such true musical and creative ingenuity. The music brings tears to my eyes everytime I listen to it, even after having listened to the music countless, countless times. I have visited the Disney parks several times over the past few years, and I never miss the Epcot fireworks show with this music because it is so stunning and just beyond comprehension. This CD is an absolute must for your collection. I might need to get a second copy of the CD because I will probably wear out my existing copy soon!

Customer Review: Best purchase for my granddaughter
She absolutely loved this DVD. It was worth every penny to see the look on her face on her birthday when she opened it. She wanted to stop opening presents and go watch her movie.
Customer Review: It might drive you crazy but .....
it's worth it to see your daughter dancing and singing along. I rented it at the library to see if my daughter (3 years old) would enjoy it. She LOVED it! That's why I gave it 5 stars. It wasn't the best copy, kept skipping so I broke down and bought it. And, moms & dads it will drive you a little nuts but it's better then the Disney movies I think. Anyways... check it out at the library and go from there. Good luck.
