This is a wonderful pop-up book I got for my granddaughter. It is a condensed retelling of the classic Disney version of the Cinderella story. What makes this so special is the pop-up design. We have all seen this type of book, where the pages lift up out of the book. What sets this one apart is the complexity of the pop-up design. The pages don't just pop-up towards the reader as usual, but in three dimensions so that Cindy's dress can be seen from all sides. I have never seen a book before where the BACKS of the pop-ups are printed as well as the fronts. And not just a repeat of the front image, but entirely new painted imagery. You can see what is on the walls inside the mouse holes, and there are pull tabs to open drawers and pull things out of character's pockets. There is lots more to do in searching the pages for hidden treasures, as well as reading a classic fairy tale.
