Symphony in Steel: Walt Disney Concert Hall Goes Up

Symphony in Steel: Walt Disney Concert Hall Goes Up
Customer Review: A Little Photographic Memoir of an Important Edifice
Gary Leonard had a wise idea back in the days when the Walt Disney Concert Hall was crystallizing from a dream that combined the minds of architect Frank Gehry, Los Angeles Philharmonic conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen and acoustician Dr. Minoru Nagata. From the 'breaking ground' photos to the completed 'living room for Los Angeles', Leonard has captured the business of digging, the scaffolding, the unfurling of the stainless steel sails of this floating ship of music along with some intimate shots of people's reactions to all phases. Now in its third year of use the Disney Concert Hall has lived up to and surpassed its claims as being one of the finest halls for hearing music in the world, competing with the Concertgebouw and the Berlin Philharmonic Hall among others. For those who have had the exhilaration of attending concerts in this magnificent (if a bit physically uncomfortable) hall, this little book is a keepsake. More importantly, for those who have only heard rumors about the grandeur of this edifice, this little book opens the structure for worldwide inspection. Grady Harp, May 05

Disney DVD Game World - Disney Princess Edition
Disney introduces a whole new kind of game with this interactive DVD game where children use their remote to play a virtual board game complete with spinner, game board, video clips, trivia questions, and interactive games. As newly crowned Princesses, players ages 5 to 8 are invited to enter an enchanted castle that features rooms inspired by Disney Princesses Ariel, Cinderella, Snow White, Mulan, Jasmine and Sleeping Beauty. One to four players take turns spinning the virtual spinner and moving through the castle's rooms where they answer trivia questions based on Disney Princess movies, play simple games, and encounter mystery spaces that often lead to hidden trap doors and secret slides. Correct answers and successful game play earn a Princess one of six items (invitation, carriage, gloves, shoes, dress, and tiara) that will prepare her to attend a royal ball. The first Princess who earns all the necessary items wins the game, but don't worry, all of the Princesses are invited to attend the ball at the end of the game. With over 250 different games, animations, activities, and trivia questions, players will likely experience a new game every time they play. A cynical parent might consider this game just an extended bonus feature without the accompanying video presentation, but young players are more likely to see it as an exciting new gaming medium. --Tami Horiuchi

Fun for the whole family! My 4 year-old can play along with her big sister and answer the questions too! The game can seem a little slow, but it has been fun!!!

Tokyo Disney Sea Ariel's Seaside Treasures
Customer Review: I think it would be good!
I think this album would be good. I haven't been to Disney Sea of Tokyo Disneyland, but the music of Tokyo Disneyland would be perfect! And I have decided to buy this album! ^^
