Disney Presents a Pixar Film: The Incredibles (The Junior Novelization)
The quiet life proves to be a little too quiet for Mr. Incredible and his wife, Elastigirl, when they give up their masks and capes as part of the government’s Super Relocation Program and start a family out in the suburbs. But when a mysterious new supervillain named Syndrome threatens the world, Mr. Incredible and Elastigirlâ€"along with their superpowered children Dash, Violet, and little baby Jack-Jackâ€"are ready to fly into action and save the day! The Junior Novelization is a complete retelling with 8 pages of full-color pictures from the new Disney/Pixar animated hit, The Incredibles.
Customer Review: Nothing beyond the movie, but very good nonetheless
Fifteen years ago, facing crippling lawsuits from an ungrateful public, the world's superheroes were forced into retirement. For Bob Parr, erstwhile Mr. Incredible, it has been a tough time going from savior of the world to unappreciated working stiff. And then suddenly, like a bolt from the blue, comes the chance to get back into the superhero game. But, something isn't right here, and the only way that Mr. Incredible is going to see this through is with the help of his family. I must admit that I absolutely loved the new Pixar movie, the Incredibles, and really looked forward to this book. A good novelization of a movie fills in blanks, letting you know what characters were thinking, and so forth. Well, sadly, that is not the case with this book. What this book is is a direct novelization of the movie, with nothing added, in fact, some of the fine detail is lost. (For example, do you remember Edna Mode striking Elastigirl with her rolled up newspaper? Well, it is not included in this book.) But, that said, I must say that I and my eleven-year-old son both enjoyed this book immensely. It has no extras beyond the movie, but it is a good, faithful novelization which brings the movie back to you and your young reader. In fact, it does have eight color pages, containing sixteen color images from the movie. So, while this book is not as much as I had hoped, it is still a very good read, and a wonderful addition to anyone's Incredibles library. My son and I both highly recommend this book to you and your family.

Customer Review: Great book for little girls!
This book is perfect for young readers. The pictures are fantastic and the story is clear. A must-read for fans of HSM!
Customer Review: For 6 year olds.
I purchased this book for my 11 year old after she had read the junionr novelizations of HSM. This is NOT one of those books but a picture book with a few sentenses on each page. This book is written for BEGINNER readers and is about 16 pages long. A real rip off for $3.99.
