Customer Review: Great Game
I bought this one to go with my Walt Disney World Explorer First Edition and I love it. It shows you a lot about what Disney World is like. It also shows you some behind-the-scenes activities, plus games and quizzes, too. Except for the fact that they only show Animal Kingdom as 1 attraction, I would give it 5 stars. So for my advice, buy this game!
Customer Review: NEED TO UPDATE
I love this version and the 2nd edition. Great for memories of Disney World. Disney NEEDS to update the cd/rom, because so much has changed since 1998.

Customer Review: Nothing you haven't heard before
This is a pretty good but pretty basic compilation. If you are a Disney fan you probably have all these songs on other cd's. It's a European import therefore a bit expensive. I live in the Netherlands and I bought it for about E7.50 Whitch is about $8.00 It's a nice CD to get your Disney music collection started.

Disney's Karaoke Series: Kim Possible
Customer Review: O.K. for the dedicated Kim Possible fan
Not the original singers so it very distracting at first...the singers' emphasis on particular words do not match the songs from the T.V. show. We play this one in the car...the soundtrack with the original singers doesn't leave the house.
Customer Review: Awsome CD. Rappin mole rat is great!!!!!
Well, yes a couple of the songs aren't song by the characters. It would have been nice. But besides that it is awsome.

Disney High School Musical: Stories from East High #3: Poetry in Motion (High School Musical Stories from East High)

Everyone at East High is freaking out. In one week, every student in Ms. Barrington's English class must recite an original poem in front of a special school assembly. Chad, Jason, and Zeke are afraid they'll be laughingstocks, but Troy is determined to help his friends succeed. Enlisting Gabriella's help, Troy helps his basketball buddies understand that there's more than one way to bust a rhyme!

Customer Review: Poetry in Motion
This book was great! I read it four times. The East High English teacher is making everyone write a poem of their own and recite it in front of the whole school. Chad, who usually likes to be the center of the spotlight is nervous about reciting a poem! Troy gets Gabriella to teach him and the guys a little about poetry.

Disney's Little Einsteins: Birthday Machine (Disney's Little Einstein)

Disney's Little Einsteins: Birthday Machine (Disney's Little Einstein)
Customer Review: Cute book, but to many words
My 2 year old daughter loves little einstines and the book, but we make up the words as we go. They basically composed a written copy of the birthday machine episode, which resulted in to many words for a squirmy toddler.
Customer Review: Great book
My daughter is 2 1/2 and loves the Little Einsteins. This book is well made, but be advised that you should sit down with your child to read this book because of all of the flaps that can be opened. Little hands may get excited and accidentally tear a flap off.

Customer Review: false advertisement
i was so excited to find this dvd only to be disappointed. its very misleading. there were only about 5 lion king songs in this entire dvd. the dvd includes songs for other disney productions. I bought this dvd thinking all of the songs are from the LION KING movie, not Lion king and other disney movies. whats that about??? I have to either repeat the one song my daughter likes or keep skipping until we get to the next lion king song. thats not right. they should tell you either on the description or cover pix that there would be other disney songs included. its not even worth the time and money to return the dvd...so disappointed. If anyone knows of a Lion King ONLY sing along dvd please let me know. - Thx!
Customer Review: Fun for the whole family
I just purchased this for my 3-year old son, and he just LOVES it. In fact, he wants to sing and dance to it everyday. I can admit that's a little too often, but it is such fun. I've never heard him sing this much. I would recommended it!

Has great ideas to save money and keep your sanity while vacationing with young kids.
Customer Review: You have to get this book if going to Disney World!!
This book was a total godsend. It was our first time (with kids), and this book answered every question we had and then some. We never asked anyone anything, if we had a question, we consulted the book. Only thing I wish they would do different is update it annually. Some of the newer rides weren't in it. But didn't make big difference. I absolutely loved this book and highly recommend it! When we go back, we will always have the most updated version of this book with us.

My Best Friend is Jasmine (Disney Princess)

My Best Friend is Jasmine (Disney Princess)
Jenna and her younger brother and sister are hungry and living on the streets in Agrabahâ€"that is, until Jenna becomes best friends with Princess Jasmine! Find out how this streetwise little girl gets invited to live in a princess’s palace in this full-color padded and glittered hardcover storybook.
Customer Review: Long story
My 5 year old wanted a Jasmine party for her birthday so when I saw this I bought it for her. She loves looking at the pictures. The story is kind of long, but she has always loved to be read to and sits through it pretty well.
Customer Review: not for young kids
My 3 year old one loves Disney Princess and it is hard to find things about Jasmine. So I ordered it. Not for young kids. THe story is okay. Princess does a great thing for a little girl and the sibling. gives them a home etc. But it is more for older kids that love to read their own book, or perhaps older kids that like to be read to and enjoy a more advanced story of their favorite princess. Nice color, paper pages, and it will be a nice book for an older child. My daughter loves the princess but she doesn't get into this book at all. Perhaps at a later time but for right now it was wasted money.

Walt Disney's the Penguin That Hated the Cold (Disney's Wonderful World of Reading)
Tired of always being cold, Pablo, a penguin, decides to move from the South Pole to a warmer climate.
Customer Review: My child's favorite book
My 18-month-old loves books - she will pick a book out of her stack and will hand us the book to read to her .... usually her attention will last for one page and she will get up to get the next book. Not when she sees Pablo. She will snuggle up closely and is very attentive throughout the book. When we point to Pablo sipping a drink in his hammock on the last page, she closes the book and opens it up to the beginning and we start again. There is something about Pablo and his story that she can relate to, or maybe we are so into the story as well that gets her attention.
Customer Review: Just The Best
It is a shame the book is not available. When I was 4, I had it all planned out. My Grandmother had the perfect bathtub. It is sad that I never got it to work. Long Live Pablo. And where is Benny The Bus. Another great kids book. The story line has Benny being sick of the same old routes and the same people so he takes off without his driver. Everything is great for awhile then Benny needs maintenance and water. Benny never thought of these problems. Of course in the end Benny shows up at the Bus Depot and he and his driver live on in infamy.

Walt Disney Treasures - Mickey Mouse in Living Color
During the mid-'30s, Mickey Mouse's fans ranged from the more than one million children who were members of the Mickey Mouse Club to Franklin Roosevelt, Mary Pickford, and the Nizam of Hyderabad; theater marquees announced "A Mickey Mouse Cartoon" with the feature titles. These wonderful shorts, many of which have never been released to the home market, remind viewers just how charming Mickey was before his popularity and role as a corporate symbol restricted his behavior. In these cartoons Mickey's personality was boyish, appealing, and slightly mischievous. The superb animation emphasizes that impish appeal. When Mickey dances with a deck of cards in "Thru the Mirror," he displays a stylish grace Fred Astaire might envy; in "Brave Little Tailor," his expressions and body language reveal his thoughts as he outwits Willie the Giant. It's virtually impossible to watch him without smiling. These shorts overflow with color and motion, and their lavish visuals pack an increased impact in an era of minimal television animation. Only Walt Disney would spend the money to animate a full deck of cards, a band flying through the air in a tornado, or a clutch of semitransparent ghosts, and only his animators could make those characters live on the screen. The prints have been lovingly restored without pumping up the color too much: the nuances of the delicate watercolor backgrounds still come through. Parents, Disney buffs, and animation fans will want this superb collection in their home libraries. Unrated: suitable for all ages. --Charles Solomon
Customer Review: We love Mickey!
If you like Disney you will love this Mickey in living color. Mickey Mouse is such a loveable little guy. He's even a hero on the classic favorite "Brave Little Tailor". I totally love this volume and I'm so glad I have it. Classic Mickey Mouse in color is truly enjoyable. It's nice to see the team too, I mean of course Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto. One hilarious bit I can think of is the angel and devil pluto in "Mickey's Elephant". The bits of history and behind the scenes with Leonard Maltin are great too. They increase your appreciation for Disney and his team on these funny and delightful cartoon shorts.
Customer Review: Mickey Bursts Forth in Fun and Color
By 1935, Mickey Mouse was an institution. Surprisingly, Walt Disney had resisted featuring his main star in color up to that point, reserving color for his Silly Symphonies. But that year he changed all that. And this two disc set features the first four years of Mickey's color career. 26 shorts were made in those years, and all of them are in this set. And we've got some real winners. The set opens with "The Band Concert," the famous piece in which Mickey tries to conduct a concert despite Donald's interruptions and a tornado. Also famous is "Thru the Mirror" inspired by Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking Glass. "Clock Cleaners" finds Mickey, Goofy, and Donald high in the air cleaning a clock. "Lonesome Ghosts" features the trio as ghost hunters brought to a haunted mansion by the ghosts themselves. And the set ends with "Brave Little Tailor" in which Mickey plays a tailor mistakenly hired to fight a giant. Very few are the cartoons where Mickey is all by himself. Most of the time, he is joined by Donald and Goofy or Pluto. But "On Ice" finds Mickey with the entire gang including Minnie as they go skating. They all get to go on the "Hawaiian Holiday" as well. Mickey's first color appearance was actually for the Oscars introducing the nominees one year. That very short piece is included here as are pencil tests from three of the 1935 shorts. Disc two features a gallery of promotional art from the time and a brief documentary from Leonard Maltin talking about Mickey's career in the era. As much fun as these cartoons are, they don't all hold up. "Pluto's Judgment Day" was rather boring. And I don't care for cartoons were a bunch of kids run around wrecking havoc like in "Orphan's Picnic." The truly bad cartoons are few and far between, however. For the most part, this is a collection of cartoons that will entertain any fan of classic animation.

Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Without Kids 2009

Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Without Kids 2009
In Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Without Kids, the most respected and well-known name in travel guides takes adult readers through the world's most popular tourist attraction. Because our guide is the only guide that's official, this book includes the most accurate information on prices and attractions. None of the other guides have access to the information that our authors do. This book focuses on the resorts, attractions, restaurants, and special places that adults will most enjoy and probably never realized existed.

This year's edition is packed with information on new attractions and tips and insights especially tailored for the young at heart, plus expanded coverage of Walt Disney World's quartet of spas, the lowdown on Downtown Disney Pleasure Island's ongoing transformation, and News for Night Owls: a listing of spots for those who, unlike Cinderella, can stay out past midnight. Other features include the scoop on the 20th anniversary happenings at Disney's Hollywood Studios (formerly Disney-MGM Studios), details on the World's newest restaurants, and new insider tips on how to save time and money at Walt Disney World
Customer Review: No real substance
Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Without Kids is meant to be a companion to the Birnbaum's Walt Disney World 2009. For a book like this to be useful, it needs to provide extensive information on things that would be of use to adults yet not was deemed unworthy of inclusion in the main guide. After all, if it's in the main guide already why do we need this book? The guide also needs genuine critiques of restaurants and hotels that would be most suitable for romantic (or at least quiet) outings. Detailed reviews of dinner shows would also be a plus. These are just a few examples that single adults and couples might find useful. The key is that readers need good details and honest evaluations for a book of this type to have any value. The only other guide of this type that I have read was The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World for Grown-Ups (Unofficial Guides) and it failed to offer enough of value to justify its purchase. Did Birnbaum's fare better? One undeniable strength is that this book retains the high production values of the Birnbaum's series. It's loaded with very nice photos. The writing is clear and concise making for a quick, easy read. In other words, the form is wonderful. But the substance, that's where we stumble. There are no real critiques or comparisons offered. The coverage is too shallow to allow you to truly discrimiate which places would be best suited to your needs. There is also too little material that isn't available in the standard guidebooks for the area. In the final analysis, there just isn't enough substance here to make it worth buying. If you're looking for a guide to Orlando primarily composed of photos and basic coverage of the area, then the Birnbaum's Walt Disney World 2009 is by far the better choice. If you want a more substantial book that is packed with detailed information then the The Unofficial Guide Walt Disney World 2009 (Unofficial Guides) is your best bet. If you really want the full picture, buy both of them. But whatever approach you choose, save your money and skip this one.
Customer Review: Not bad, but a little redundant
I decided to buy this book as a supplement to Birnbaum's general Disney guide book. It's good, but I'm not sure if the additional information was worth the additional purchase. This book is excellent in terms of describing the various Walt Disney World resorts, but other than that most of the information overlaps with the general guide book. Also, the book seems geared toward older individuals and my girlfriend and I are fairly young (the authors seem to think that couples without kids in Disney World are mostly interested in finding quiet places, but my girlfriend and I are excitement seekers).

Disney At the Piano (Piano Solo Songbook)
Solo piano arrangements of 14 Disney favorites, including: The Bare Necessities * Circle of Life * Colors of the Wind * A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes * Friend Like Me * God Help the Outcasts * It's a Small World * Mickey Mouse March * Under the Sea * more.
Customer Review: If you're looking for piano solos buy this book!
Absolutely beautiful arrangements of disney songs! This is not the typical piano-voice-guitar tab book, so if you're looking for something with lyrics and something that is easy don't buy it. If you're looking for a book of elaborate (but not impossible) piano solos, like I was, of your favorite disney songs, this is the book you want. I picked up the piano again after a very long break. It took awhile to learn the songs, but with hard work they are worth the effort!
Customer Review: GREAT GREAT GREAT!!
I have been playing piano for 8 years and i love this book!! it is one of my favorite books to play out of. I think if you buy it you will enjoy every song out of it!

Optimism shines in this classic 1960 Disney film starring Hayley Mills. When the newly orphaned Pollyanna comes to live with her wealthy aunt in Harrington Town, life looks promising. Despite her aunt's insistence on propriety and modesty, Pollyanna's cheerful, optimistic ways spread throughout the town--converting even a cantankerous recluse and a whining hypochondriac. Only Aunt Polly has trouble welcoming her young niece into her heart. In a clash between the townspeople and Aunt Polly over local politics, it's Pollyanna's influence that helps individual townspeople find the inner strength to stand up for their own beliefs. When Pollyanna is involved in a serious accident, Aunt Polly finally realizes how much she loves her niece. Can Aunt Polly and the entire town somehow restore Polly's optimism and ensure a full recovery? Pollyanna is wholesome entertainment that will leave the entire family eager to play the "glad game." --Tami Horiuchi
Customer Review: Always loved this story
I believe this is the best of the Pollyanna movies. There is nobody like Hayley Mills. It's a sweet and funny way to return to your childhood. I'm enjoying introducing Pollyanna to my grandchildren and pleased to see that it's not all video games but that the simple things still appeal.
Customer Review: Not as good as the book
My daughter is 9 and loves this story. We read the book before ordering the movie and she couldn't put it down. The movie is very Disneyish with the colorful sets, simple characters and plot modifications to make the story "better". We are always on the lookout for good wholesome movies for our daughter and in that respect, I can recommend this one. But I highly recommend you read the book first. If you like this one, you can read Heidi next.

Disney's Beauty And The Beast: The Broadway Musical - Original Broadway Cast Recording (Blisterpack)

Disney's Beauty And The Beast: The Broadway Musical - Original Broadway Cast Recording (Blisterpack)
Way back in 1991, many of us saw the single-handed salvation and revival of the old-fashioned American-style Broadway musical comedy. True, it was in the form of a feature-length Disney cartoon, but Beauty and the Beast had it all: a wonderful, tuneful score (including a huge hit title-song), off-the-wall choreography, a great opposites-attract love story with an ultimately happy ending, comic subplots, colorful period costumes, a romantic location in small-town France, and an irresistible cast, including Angela Lansbury as the voice of a teapot. Alan Menken's songs, with lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, literally introduced the characters ("Belle" and "Gaston") and carried them gracefully through the old fairy tale with its new animated twists. Disney understandably decided to transpose this cinematic miracle to the Broadway stage in 1992. Beauty and the Beast at the fabled Palace Theatre has done as much as anything to revive New York's theatre district; it led to a similar animated film-to-stage transfer of The Lion King, which allowed for the magnificent restoration of the 1902 New Amsterdam Theatre, which was the cornerstone of the cleanup of 42nd Street, which in turn transformed Times Square and "Broadway" into the world's number-one tourist destination. And we're all terribly grateful. But, on stage, Beauty and the Beast was flat, and most of that lack of fizz is, alas, captured on compact disc. The good songs are all here, such as "Be Our Guest," but the performances of them are mostly perfunctory--the exception being the vocal renderings of Susan Egan as Belle, the Beauty. Further, the Disneyfication of the Broadway musical seems to extend to faceless and interchangeable (read: cheap to hire) players, a practice that extends to The Lion King. The only "names" in the original Beauty and the Beast cast were Beth Howland as the teapot and Tom Bosley, a mere shadow of his former Fiorello, as Belle's father. Even worse, unlike The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast was not reinvented for the stage. It's my theory that the kids who made up the live audience (and many of their parents) were filling in the blanks from repeated viewings of the cartoon on video. If you're willing to do the same when only listening, this CD might do. But why, when the movie soundtrack album is available? --Robert Windeler
Customer Review: Awsome, just like being there
Just like sitting at the show or being at Disney's Hollywood Studio watching the Beauty & The Beast live show.
Customer Review: Surprising!
I avoid Disney because they usually throw enough "sweetness" at a person to give them diabetes! Having heard two of the songs on AOL Radio, I was curious enough to order the CD. It was a TOTAL surprise! There is enough sugar in it, but there is FAR more passion than I would expect from Disney. It's a love story. (Aren't they ALL?) BUT there are enough other enjoyable moments in it to make it worthwhile. (Including what I perceive to be a suicide threat, "If I can't love her/Let the world be done with me."). Not what you'd expect!) While the whole musical can be summarized in three of the tracks, (Prologue, to tell the premise, Something There, to show development, and End Duet to resolve the situation) that doesn't say that the other tracks are fluff. They ALL contribute to the telling of the story. All in all, far better than I expected!

When You Wish Upon a Star / Tribute to Walt Disney

Walt Disney World Frontierland

Walt Disney World Frontierland
"Here we experience the story of our country's past... the colorful drama of frontier America in the exciting days of the covered wagon and the stagecoach, the advent of the railroad and the romantic riverboat. Frontierland is a tribute to the faith, courage and ingenuity of the pioneers who blazed the trails across America." - Walt Disney Here you will stroll along a frontier town or you can stroll along the lazy running Rivers of America. And in the distance you will find the Frontierland Mountain Range. Or if you would like something simpler then sit in on the Country Bear Jamboree. When visiting be sure to grab yourself a delicious Smoked Turkey Leg and sit down to listen to the banjo players. On this DVD you will take a wild train ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad , sing along with the Country Bear Jamboree , have a zip-a-dee-doo-dah time on Splash Mountain , and take a walk around Frontierland on Tour .
Customer Review: Disney Frontierland Tour
This was a complete fraud and extremely poor quality product. This was a homemade copy of a home-movie of Frontierland, not a Disney product as I expected. Evidently this seller is "not familiar" with copyright and trademark laws. I'd like to see their selling privilege revoked and them prosecuted. This is exactly what you fear can happen when you deal with a private seller.

Walt Disney's Railroad Story: The Small-Scale Fascination That Led to a Full-Scale Kingdom
Thousands of books and articles have been written about Walt Disney and his organization, yet few people realize the significance railroading played in the evolution of the Disney empire. Encouraged by Walt's family and railfans inside and outside the Disney organization, Michael Broggie has chronicled the tale of Walt Disney's personal involvement in railroading.

This book unveils the private realm of Disney railroading through hundreds of photographs, many of which have never before been made public, and interviews with Mrs. Walt Disney, Diane Disney Miller, Ward Kimball, Ollie Johnston, Bob Harpur, Bill Cottrell, Roger Broggie, Bill Evans, and many others.

Walt Disney's love affair with trains began in his hometown of Marceline, Missouri. His first job was selling tobacco, candy, and newspapers on the Missouri Pacific line. By 1950, his enthusiasm for realistic model trains had evolved into an elaborate backyard live steam railroad. Walt's Carolwood Pacific Railroad included a 46-foot-long trestle, loops, overpasses, gradients, an elevated dirt berm, and a 90-foot tunnel underneath Mrs. Disney's flower bed!

The complete history of the Disney railroads, from small scale models to steam trains for the Disney parks is covered. This is a book all Disney collectors and railroad enthusiasts will want to experience! Over 300 illustrations, many previously unpublished.
Customer Review: A great book, worth the money if you love railroads
A friend of mine loaned me the book. I then decided to order one from Amazon.com through one of the private sellers for a great price. When I read how the locomotives were obtained for the Walt Disney World Railroad, I remember a conversation I had back in 1994 with one of Disney World's Magic Kingdom cast members who operated the WDRR. I noticed that the locomotive was a 4-4-0. A cast member there told me all four of the locomotives were found in Mexico, which confirmed what Michael Broggie wrote. Surely if I could not ride a train being pulled by a 4-4-0 so many, many years ago on the west coast, it was complete satisfaction to me that I was able to ride the WDRR train being pulled by a 4-4-0 locomotive on this month in 1994. The book just totally fascinates me about Walt Disney's love of trains. As I will subscribe to a computer model railroad simulation program, I sure like to run a layout similar to Walt Disney's Carolwood Pacific's. Railroads were Walt Disney's dream long before my pal Mickey came around. I visit Disneyland later this month. Thanks be to God for the grace and soul of Walt Disney. He left a legacy for all of us to savor and enjoy.
Customer Review: Hard to find gift
I bought this for a friend. He's a train enthusiast and always wanted this book. But it was so hard to find--and usually cost an arm and a leg. This is going to make for a great Christmas gift. Amazon is a great place for those hard to find items. And quick shipping as well.

WALT DISNEY WORLD TRIVIA 2009 BOX

WALT DISNEY WORLD TRIVIA 2009 BOX
Like the author's popular Walt Disney World Trivia Books books, this fun-filled page-a-day calendar serves up a treasure trove of Disney secrets, fun facts, and fascinating history, along with quizzes, puzzles, and games. Even die-hard Disney buffs are sure to learn something new. Fun for any trivia lover who enjoys Disney, it's also a great way to count down the days till that next trip to Disney World.
Customer Review: Love the trivia!
Being a big Disney fan, we've usually purchased the Disney Days calendar but when I saw this one, I thought we'd give it a try since we'd probably enjoy our calendar more with a daily dose of trivia. We do own Louis' two trivia books which we really enjoy. (The Disney Days calendar has some trivia but not much.) Now that this has arrived, it's fun to have the daily trivia - some of it I already know, some is new. My only negative - the calendar could really use some color!

ABC Disney Pop-Up (Disney's Pop-Up Books)
In the gorgeous, interactive ABC Disney: An Alphabet Pop-Up, A is for Ariel, B is for Bambi, and C is for Cinderella. And who better than Robert Sabuda to pull off this ambitious tribute to Disney animation? A veritable king in the world of pop-up books, he has never missed a new Disney animated feature film release. "Walt Disney films were magic to me and my siblings when we were kids," says Sabuda. "The films had stories, real stories that were completely believable. To the young artist growing inside of me they were visually lyrical and achingly beautiful." Creator of the holiday pop-up favorites A Christmas Alphabet, The Twelve Days of Christmas, and Cookie Count, Sabuda infuses life and motion into each beloved character with his ever elegant, truly astounding paper tricks. A sequence of colorful, lift-up squares, each marked with a letter from A to Z, cleverly conceals the spring-loaded Disney crew: Hercules flexes mightily when you lift the H square, Iago flaps his wings, Jiminy Cricket tips his hat cheerily, and Kaa the python slithers beneath the K. Disney fans young and old will revel in this magnificent tribute to the characters loved the world round and Sabuda fans will welcome another classic from the pop-up master. (Click to see Ariel in action! Copyright 1998 Disney Enterprises, Inc.) (All ages) --Karin Snelson

Customer Review: This book is extraordinary for both children and adults
Adults will love this book both because it will remind them of the many characters with whom they grew up, and for the incredible science of Robert Sabuda's "paper engineering".Children will delight in the wonder of the "pop up". Not only do they love the recent and classic Disney characters, but thrill to know that they can identify the first letters of those characters' names!
Customer Review: Another movable masterpiece from Mr. Sabuda!
The House of Mouse finally meets a master movable book artist and the results are more dazzling than the Electric Parade along Main Street -- or even more spectacular than a synchronized fireworks display in the Orlando, Florida skies. What could have been a run-of-the-mill volume if executed by someone else, Robert Sabuda's latest masterpiece celebrates over 60 years of movie magic with paper, paint and a passion for cutting and folding. Instead of simply replicating the characters and making them move, Mr. Sabuda infuses them with his unique style and sense of humor. (See Pinocchio get cross-eyed as he watches his own nose grow longer! Gepetto would have been proud.) Julie Taymor (surprisingly with the blessings of the formula-bound Disney folks) impressed the critics and the crowds with "The Lion King" on Broadway. Now, Mr. Sabuda likewise has proven to our pop-up publishing planet that creativity and commerce need not be exclusive of each other. Bravo, Robert! (But where is Sebastian? I can't wait for the sequel. A is for Aladdin, B is for Belle, C is for Chip...) Walt Disney Treasures - The Mickey Mouse Club Featuring the Hardy Boys

Walt Disney Treasures - The Mickey Mouse Club Featuring the Hardy Boys
From the moment Thurl Ravenscroft intoned, "Gold doubloons and pieces of eight/ Handed down to Applegate," "The Mystery of the Applegate Treasure" became one of the best-loved serials on the The Mickey Mouse Club, second only to "The Adventures of Spin and Marty." Gifted young actors Tim Considine and Tommy Kirk make a believable pair of adolescent sleuths: Frank and Joe Hardy want to follow in the footsteps of their father, private detective Fenton Hardy. Summer vacation in the little town of Bayport seems boring until Frank and Joe run into Perry Robinson, a new kid in their neighborhood, who them leads into the search for the long-lost pirate treasure of local eccentric Silas Applegate. There's plenty of low-key daring-do, suitably sinister villains, misread clues, and wholesome comedy to keep young children (or grandchildren) occupied while Baby Boomers delight in recalling how they enjoyed the adventure in the mid-'50s.

The extras include the entire Mickey Mouse Club show from Oct. 1, 1956, when Considine and Kirk presented a preview of the new serial, and a short feature on how the Disney crew adapted the popular boys' books to television. Host Leonard Maltin conducts an agreeable interview with a disconcertingly aged Considine and Kirk. This Disney Treasure is a must-have for viewers who grew up during the '50s--or younger audiences who want discover the answer to the question, "Now where are those gold doubloons and pieces of eight?" (Rated G, suitable for ages 5 and older: mild violence) --Charles Solomon

Disney Fairies Book 1: The Trouble With Tink (Unabridged)
Tinker Bell is supposed to be the best there is at fixing pots and pans, but when she loses her hammer, her talent goes with it. Tink is desperate to reclaim her skill. But does she have the courage to face up to her past?
Customer Review: Could Have Been Better
I like this one it was as good as the last Disney Fairy book I read, A Masterpiece for Bess, but it was nice. It was nice to see what happen with her an Peter Pan in this one although it the is no continuity to other Peter Pan stories by Disney, like Peter and the Starcatchers. There was no real lesson in this one and the other if fact I don't like the fact that it was okay for Tinker Bell to not ask for help and keep everything to herself that didn't seem right.
Customer Review: We LOVE this series!!!
We own all of this series! Started reading them when my daughter was 4 (she just turned 5 now), and they are age appropriate. Not too scary and always a happy ending. One book only takes us about 4-5 nights worth of reading together. The longer ones are good too "Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg" and "Fairy Haven and the Quest for the Wand", but they are a little bit scarrier than the short books (more appropriate for ages 5-7 I would think).

Radio Disney: Kid Jams, Vol. 6
Customer Review: Radio Disney: Kid Jams, Vol.6
My daughter sings and dances to every song. What a great CD. I recommend it to all dancing singing boys and girls.
Customer Review: Super Songs
Even though some of the songs were from the Lizzie McGuire soundtracks, this volume of the Radio Disney Jams series contains great hits for all Radio Disney fans to enjoy. I give the 6th volume an overall 10. I Can't Wait - Heard on the Lizzie McGuire soundtrack, this song was totally cool. Hilary Duff, you rule! Dig It - Heard from the movie, Holes, I sure can dig this song. Up, Up, Up - Rose Falcon's song was upbeat and totally catchy. I love it! You're The One - It was good. For one thing, Radio Disney is the station to rely on for the hottest hits. The Tide Is High (Get The Feeling) - Heard on the Lizzie McGuire Movie soundtrack, it's a really hip song. Although I have to tell you I also liked the original Blondie version. Sing A Simple Song - Hampton and the Hampsters rock! This is my very favorite song of all in this volume! Just like "The Hampster Dance," my body can't control itself when my ears hear this catchy tune! All I Can Do - It's a totally cool song. I like the chorus. That's So Raven - This is really the theme song from the Disney Channel original series of the same name. Us Against The World - A super song, another Lizzie McGuire hit to jam to. Don't Stop Movin' - S Club 7's song can really get ya swingin' to the music! You won't wanna stop movin' to this song! My Baby - This is sung to the tune of a Jackson 5 song. I would have wanted to give it a 9, but it ended up with a 10 instead. Last One Standing - Triple Image is awesome! Girls, as well as boys, are sure to get into this song like I did. You Make Me Feel Like A Star - This song really does want to make you feel like a star. It's one of my favorite hits, especially from the Lizzie McGuire Movie soundtrack. All For Love - The song by Stevie Brock was totally great. What else can I say about it? Floorfiller - I can't believe they saved this song for last. This A-teens song, also heard in Pop 'Til You Drop, can really get ya dancin'! This is a must-have Radio Disney CD to add to your collection. It's one of the very best, even if they repeated songs from other albums.

Disney Bunnies: Thumper Makes a Splash
From fuzzy yellow ducklings to bright green frogs, Thumper is fascinated by his friends who live in the water. Splashing around looks like fun--but will Thumper make the leap? Thumper's mischievous antics and bendable, waterproof pages make this the ideal title for bathtime fun.
Customer Review: This is a BATH BOOK!
When looking at the product, it says "paperback" and doesn't clearly state the biggest selling point for this entry into the Disney Bunnies Preschool Book Series... It's a BATH BOOK! Gorgeously illustrated and a cute story and its waterproof too. My daughter loves the bunny books and was thrilled to have one to take in the tub with her. A great buy and nice find...

Walt Disney Treasures - The Chronological Donald, Volume One (1934 - 1941)

Walt Disney Treasures - The Chronological Donald, Volume One (1934 - 1941)
Although the book The Adventures of Mickey Mouse (1931) listed Donald Duck as one of Mickey's friends, he didn't appear on screen until the "Silly Symphony" "The Wise Little Hen," three years later. Donald's personality began to gel in "The Orphan's Benefit" (1934, on Walt Disney Treasures: Mickey Mouse in Black and White), when he threw his first temper tantrum. He began as dumpy-looking character with a long beak and thick legs, but was soon redesigned and made more appealing.

Donald's firecracker temper made him a favorite with audiences--and the Disney artists. By the late '30s/early '40s Mickey was no longer allowed to kick someone, break a window, or get into a really embarrassing situation. Donald was, and he did. If Donald encountered a mechanical device, from an outboard motor to a waffle iron to a riveting gun, the results were sure to be disastrous. He was routinely outwitted by chipmunks, ants, bees, and his nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, who came to visit in 1938 and stayed for more than 60 years.

The Donald Duck shorts featured some of the broadest slapstick comedy the Disney studio ever produced. They lack the razor-sharp timing, extreme takes, and wild gags the animators at Warner Bros. and MGM were developing at this time. But they're still funny and retain a nostalgic charm, especially such classics as "Don Donald," "The Autograph Hound," "Mr. Duck Steps Out," and "Put-Put Troubles." (Rated G, suitable for ages 8 and older: cartoon violence, tobacco use, minor ethnic stereotyping) --Charles Solomon
Customer Review: A+
This Donald Duck chronology is just perfect for my father. He even spells Donald Duck all the way through the Mickey Mouse (or as he says "Ricky Rat") song! Thanks
Customer Review: this guy rulezzz
This guy just rocks. No matter what age you are Donald will catch you and wont let you go!!!

Disney Fairies: Prilla and the Butterfly Lie (Unabridged)
Prilla just can't say no. When Nettle asks her to join in on caterpillar sheering for the second day in a row, Prilla tells a little white lieâ€"she prefers butterflies to caterpillars. Then all the butterfly-herding talent fairies come down with a case of fairy pox, and because of her "love of butterflies," Prilla is asked to help out. But butterfly-herding is a lot harder than it sounds. Butterflies are downright mischievous, making Prilla's life perfectly miserable. Is it time for Prilla to 'fess up?

"A charming tale about finding faith in oneself." â€"Discovery Girls
Customer Review: This Clumsy's Favorite Fairy
This one was cute. I Prilla is she a fairy with the talent of blinking to the clumsies (humans) mainland and playing with child. This talent keeps the fairies alive because it keeps the belief of fairies alive. I wish there was a little more of her using her talent because I think it cute when she plays with the kids. It had a pretty good lesson at the end too.
Customer Review: a lovely story
My girls (3 and 4) LOVE these fairy books - my 4 year old reads them over and over and both love for me to read them out loud!

Customer Review: PrEtTy GoOd
the book was ok but I'm not really into historical fiction, I just needed it for a book report. but the book gave me LOTS of facz. a+ for me!!!!!!
Customer Review: The Story of Ruby Bridges
Ruby Bridges is an outstanding little girl. She expressed the true sense of being spiritual, honest and true. She taught many valuable lessons to everyone that came into contact with her. I was very pleased after reading such a heartwarming book. Ruby was strong and truly a blessing, regardless of the many degrading words thrown at her. She showed everyone how to stand strong in the midst of adversity. I recommend this book to every adult, so that they can share it with every child they come in contact with.

The Wonderful World of Disney, The Story of Robin Hood And His Merrie Men
At last..the best of Sunday night TV is back! It's the legendary TV show popular with audiences for 29 years. The longest-running prime-time series in television history (1954-1983). The winner of numerous awards, including seven Emmys. It's THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF DISNEY! Join the action with one of England's most celebrated heroes! In its DVD debut, this rousing tale of England's renowned rebel to the rich and patriot to the poor is brimming with Disney's storytelling magic. The whole family will love going bow-to-bow alongside Robin, Friar Tuck, Little John, and Maid Marian in this classic adventure full of gallantry, romance, and adventure!
Customer Review: Heartwarming Revisit
I read the story of Robin Hood at age 11, and enjoyed the 1938 film with Errol Flynn at his swashbuckling best. But the Disney-produced version brought warm remembrance and once again left me smiling. The story is true to the written legend, but told with an upbeat style that is memorably supported by a singing minstrel. Richard Todd portrays a likeable Robin, and his cohorts - including Maid Marian, Friar Tuck, Little John, and the rest of the outlaw band - seem more into perpetrating mischief against evil Prince John and his minions than committing acts of hateful revenge. I loved the film when I first saw it in 1952, and I still love it.
Customer Review: One of the Top Robin Hood Movies
Now I see why Disney hasn't put this out on DVD! Profiteering! I've been looking for it forever. I don't know what other movies are in the Disney Movie Club, whether they're classics that're worth watching or the junk they're baloney-machining out now, but this one is worth every penny, no matter how much you pay for it! Even the hefty prices you find here (like the old days when DVD's were a new technology, not so long ago at all). No, it's not deep. Don't go expecting that. But it's still amazing. Definitely creams the Costner version. I guess it's on-par with the Flynn version, but I like it better. Much, much better. There must be something else to it. Both Flynn and this are fairly historically accurate, mature, intelligent, witty, fun, and clean. "A Worthy Classic" is my new title for it, in all the old connotations. I only give it four stars 'cause it's not deep.

Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg (Disney Fairies)
Seasoned fractured fairy tale teller Gail Carson Levine provides the captivating back story of Tinker Bell and Co. in this lavishly illustrated addition to the Neverland canon. Freckled and eager to please, Prilla is a brand new fairy, born of a baby's laugh. Upon her arrival to Neverland, she is dismayed to discover she has no talent for any of the fairy avocations. Tinker Bell (a pots-and-pans-talent fairy) takes Prilla to see Mother Dove, whose single blue egg holds the secret of the island's eternal youth. But before the wise bird can advise Prilla, Neverland is shaken by a terrible hurricane. Mother Dove is thrown off her nest, and the precious egg is shattered. Immediately, Neverland folk begin to age.

The island's only hope is for some brave fairies to take the egg pieces to Kyto the dragon and ask him to restore it with his fiery breath. But first, the fairies must collect treasures with which to bribe the evil dragon. Mother Dove chooses Prilla to be part of the fairy team to undertake the quest for the egg. Can one little no-talent fairy help save Neverland from certain doom? While Fairy Dust is unabashedly based on Disney's Peter Pan, Levine's companion version feels wonderfully fresh and original. The charming maxims of Levine's fairy world (fairies say "Fly with you," instead of "Pleased to meet you," and need dust made from Mother Dove's feathers to fly) along with David Christiana's sumptuous illustrations breathe new life into a beloved classic. --Jennifer Hubert
Customer Review: Our copy fell apart!
My daughter enjoyed this, I think... The book is pretty. The pages have a good feel to them and there are nice illustrations throughout. But, the glue that holds the edges of the paper to the inside of the spine failed. My daughter kept reading it, leaving pages here, there and everywhere. There are so many scattered pages that I don't think we'll ever get it all back together. It would be a tedious job to collate them anyway. So, into the trash... I'm ranking this as a 3 because it's not the author's fault the mechanics of the book failed.
Customer Review: Fairies are Better then Princesses.
I realized part of why I like the Disney Fairies better than the Disney Princesses: Disney Fairies have everything they need and are happy. Disney Princesses get everything they want. I just think I would rather be the Fairies than the Princesses. Disney Fairies are happy with the way things are, especially happy with themselves. Disney Princesses... Sure they are happy because they get what they want. But are they happy with themselves, or just with the things they have? This book starts the series of Disney Fairy chapter books, and who better to write it than Gail Carson Levine? The first thing I love about this book is the artwork. Being an artist myself my eyes always go to that first; it's just how I am. There are drawings of fairies, mermaids and other creatures throughout the book, and they are beautiful. I love the way it is written. Fairy Dust is probably written for more of a younger audience than other books Mrs. Levine has written, but it is still a wonderful fairy tale. Mrs. Levine also wrote a sequel called Fairy Haven and the Quest for the Wand.
