Radio Disney: Kid Jams

Radio Disney: Kid Jams
Radio Disney is a nationally syndicated children's program, and Radio Disney: Kid Jams pulls together 17 of the show's "greatest hits." It's a cornucopia of high-energy, parent-approved pop and classics from The Lion King and Mulan. Represented are teen idols (the Backtsreet Boys, Hanson), hip-hop (Technotronic, MC Hammer, and a Mickey-ized version of Tag Team's "Whoomp! (There it Went)"), dancefloor (2 Unlimited, "Macarena"), silly favorites (Weird Al Yankovic, I-8-Paste), and even James Brown. There's a lot to like about a compilation that draws no divisions between Yankovic's "Yoda" (a takeoff on the Kinks' "Lola"), Sponge's take on the Speed Racer theme, Steve Vai's cover of "Wipeout," and the Hardest Working Man in Show Business (Brown). The only complaint here is that some parents may resent getting "Macarena" stuck in their heads again. --Randy Silver
Customer Review: disney's radio jams cd
my kids and i have always loved this cd. we have all of the radio disney cds in our collection. but this is our favorite. we just the think the songs are so much fun for the kids as well as the adults. it brings back a lot of memories. so when our original cd got scratched, we were all disappointed. because you can't find this cd in the stores any more. but thanks to amamzon.com we were able to replace it at a reasonable price. now we are all happy again.

I love the music on this CD because it takes popular music and makes it suitable for children... a very fun and festive selection of songs! Kids love it too!

Walt Disney's Zorro - Season 1 - Volume 5
On DVD for the first time ever, fans of all ages can experience classic episodes from Walt Disney's legendary TV series, Zorro (1957-'59), starring Guy Williams (TV's Lost In Space). Follow each swashbuckling adventure while the masked avenger El Zorro (The Fox) defends the poor and oppressed as perhaps the first caped crusader-one that inspired legions more. Includes episodes 33 - 39. 33. The Deadly Bolas 34. The Well of Death 35. The Tightening Noose 36. The Sergeant Regrets 37. The Eagle Leaves the Nest 38. Bernardo Faces Death 39. The Eagle's Flight
Customer Review: Pop goes the Eagle.
This is the last of this story arc, with the man calling himself the Eagle getting himself killed in the final story. Of course it isn't over and done with, as we will see in Season Two (whenever it is released to us). If I have any complaint about these episodes, the plot threads sometimes seem too simplistic and cliched for dealings with a criminal mastermind with truly enormous plans. The big shootout at the end was a contrivance belonging to TV westerns of the 50's, and as such seemed unsatisfactory to me. Admittedly, this was a kid's action series. But what comes off best are the developement of the central heroes of the series. Diego (presumably a young man in his early 20's) becomes a little more human, and the hero-sidekick relationship between him and Bernardo, which started in the 4th DVD, begins to develope quite nicely. The sitcom elements that were always present seem more on the surface. Fun to watch, like the others.
