The Science of Disney Imagineering: Trajectory Classroom Edition [Interactive DVD]
The Science of Disney Imagineering: Trajectory Classroom Edition [Interactive DVD]
What scientific principle that keeps coming up... and up... when designing Disney's theme park attractions? Trajectory! The Imagineers demonstrate how forces and motion play a leading role in creating rides like California Adventure's California Screamin' and Toy Story Midway Mania. Students will learn the definitions of projectile and trajectory, see how Newton's First Law of Motion relates to these principles, and how to apply the physics of motion to predict and control the trajectory of a projectile. Each Imagineering DVD includes a bonus try it yourself experiement, an interactive activity to reinforce key learnings, Public Performance Rights and printable educator's guide.
Walt Disney believed, If you can dream it, you can do it, and that belief is at the core of Disney Imagineering; the place where imagination meets engineering. Imagineers use science to create and build unique attractions that delight Disney guests around the globe. This all-new series uses roller coasters, stunt shows, animatronics, and other irresistible examples to break down scientific principles in a way that is accessible for all learners. Just imagine what you could do if the whole world was your toolbox!
La Magia de Disney y Sus Super Estrellas
Customer Review: Good, but not great, Compilation of great Disney Songs
This compilation of Disney Songs from the 90's to the present time is very good, most of the best Pop latin and international stars sing the original spanish versions of the songs of the best Disney musicals. So far, the track list is as follows: 1. "En mi corazon viviras" -- Phil Collins ("Disney's Tarzan(R)") 2. "La Bella y la bestia" - Manuel Mijares y Rocio Banquells ("Beauty and the Beast") 3. "Tu corazon" - Cristian ("Mulan") 4. "Reflejo" - Lucero ("Mulan") 5. "Un mundo ideal" - Ricardo Montaner y Michelle ("Aladdin") 6. "Mundo perfecto" - Oscar D'Leon ("Emperor's New Groove") 7. "Hay en el cielo una luz" - Tatiana ("Peter Pan in Return to Neverland") 8. "Un amigo como tu" - Sting ("Emperor's New Groove") 9. "Cuando ella me amaba" - Alessandra Rosaldo (de Sentidos Opuestos) ("Toy Story 2") 10."Si no te conociera" - Jon Secada y Shanice ("Pocahontas") 11."Colores en el viento" - Vanessa Williams ("Pocahontas") 12."Donde va tu sueno" - Chayanne ("Atlantis") 13."Un precioso sueno" - Linda Ronstadt ("Cinderella") There is a couple of great songs missing, Luis Miguel's version of "Someday" from the Hunchback of Notre Dame ("Sueña") which is a far better version than the one included on the English soundtrack of the movie and Ricky Martin's version of "Go the Distance" from Hercules, also a better version than the one sung by Michael Bolton. It is, anyway, a great buy for any Disney fan.
