Disney's Storybook Collection Vol.2
Disney's Storybook Collection Vol.2
Customer Review: familiar
this is a good storybook for the very young (2-3 yrs) as the stories are familiar for any children that watch movies etc. Helps keep their interest. Also, the stories are a perfect length for toddlers, and not weird like so many of the fairytales (especially the creepy, original versions).
Customer Review: A Good Book
The book is good but most of the stories are the same that has appeared in many other books. After all there are only so many Disney Movies! But your children are going to love it.
Disney's the Little Mermaid (Disney's Read Along Collection)
Disney's The Little Mermaid Read-Along Collection features stories of Ariel and her friends under the sea. The product contains three beautifully illustrated storybooks. This timeless Read-Along provides word for word narration of the stories encouraging independent reading.
Customer Review: Ok, but not great.
I bought these read along books (as well as the Lion King and Pixar sets) for my 4 year old daughter because I wanted to find something similar to the Disney Read Along books I had as a child. I loved the narration, pictures, and songs in the original Disney sets. Unfortunately, these aren't the same at all. There are far too many sentences on each page so that a non-reader will easily lose track of where the story is in relation to the pictures. In other words, there aren't enough pictures to go with the story, given how many words there are. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, there are no songs. The songs are part of what make these Disney stories/movies so charming and it's incredibly disappointing not to have them. My daughter will sit and listen to these, but doesn't love them as much as the Curious George complete collection she has with the stories on CD. If you have an older child 5 or 6, these may work better. For 4 and under, I'd find something else.
Customer Review: Perfect length for little ones but watch the quality...
My two year old loved Disney's "little mermaid" so I wanted to get her some books for bedtime reading, and these are the perfect length. The CD will be good for car trips or later for her to read along to, and my older nephew enjoyed trying it out to the two year old's delight. Unfortunately I have found a couple misprints, particularly one page that shows an image from a totally different part of the story. Expected a little better quality from Disney, but wrote the publisher and got no reply at all. Hmm. Still in all a great collection for the money, I just hope the books hold up till she is older.
Disney Lion King Bath Book (Disney Bath Time Bubble: Lion King)
A soft, stain resistant book for infants and toddlers that is perfect for bath time, playtime or anytime. Features favorite Disney characters. Non-toxic.
Customer Review: Alright
This book is OK. I gave it 3 stars because it does get played with. My baby loves turning pages, so she really doesn't care what is on them. There are not many pages (I think 6 total), so she gets to the end pretty fast and tosses it aside. The graphics are lacking, too. The book is basically pictures of wooden alphabet blocks stacked on top of each other and one lion king character somewhere on the page. It would be better if each page had only 1-4 letters on it with a picture of something that started with that letter. I guess I got my money's worth because I bought the least expensive bath book. I should have gone with one that was more expensive. I guess this is just another example of Disney throwing something together just to make a buck without any concern for its quality.
